Day 1: Moshi– Tarangire National Park
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and you will travel to the Tarangire National Park. This park with its huge baobab trees, the perennial Tarangire River and seasonal swamps is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. At the river basin, gathering of animals like elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, dik-diks, bushbucks, waterbucks, and reedbucks take place all year round. Besides that, expect to see herds of buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests which are closely followed by predator groups such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs (although very rarely spotted in Tarangire). From the open roof safari vehicle, you’ll get a good 360 degrees view of the landscape and spot the animals clearly.

Day 2: Tarangire Area – Ngorongoro Crater
After an early start you will make your way to the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro highlands. The Ngorongoro Crater is almost 600 m deep, approximately 20 km wide and the massive caldera is home to an amazing variety of animals. As your game drive in this area proceeds, you have high probably of spotting all the members of the Big Five of Africa: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. Besides that Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and mountain reedbucks are easily spotted. You might also see spotted hyenas and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a picnic lunch in the crater and some more game viewing, you will leave the crater in the afternoon and travel. to Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

Day 3: Ngorongo Crater – Lake Manyara National Park – Moshi
After breakfast, you will leave the highlands and continue to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the smallest but most diverse parks in Tanzania. The shallow and alkaline Lake Manyara covers a large area of the park and it is the seasonal home to thousands of flamingos – an awesome (pink) sight. However more than 500 other bird species are also found here as well as some wonderful mammals. In the forest trees, troops of monkeys can be seen playing around; zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests on the grassy plains; and in the woodlands, you can spot lions and elephants. A picnic lunch follow the intensive game drive and slow the pace down. Next, you’ll leave the park for Arusha or Moshi.
