Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara

You’ll be picked up from Arusha and transferred to Lake Manyara National Park. At lodge. you’ll be served with hot lunch after which we’ll leave for the park for an afternoon game drive. This is one of those national parks in Tanzania which is dramatically located wildlife areas. About two-thirds of the park consists of Lake Manyara itself which is a shallow soda lake. It is located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s escarpment. The varied habitat of the park attracts and retains a wide array of wildlife including elephants, tree-climbing lions (for what this park is famous for), flamingos and other species.Dinner and overnight at the type of accommodation you’ve opted for during booking.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti Plains

Following the morning breakfast, we’ll be heading towards the Serengeti National Park through the beautiful high lying farmlands of Karatu and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands of Karutu behind, we head towards the heart of wild Africa, the Serengeti National Park. Its plains covering more than 10,000 sq km seem to run endlessly as far as your eyes can see. The central part of the park which is known as Seronera area will be our target destination. This territory is considered the richest wildlife habitats in the park which also features the Seronera River. It is a reliable year-round valuable source of water for the wildlife and therefore attracts a large proportion of them. Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.
Day 3: Serengeti Plains
On day 3 of the tour, hop in for a hot air balloon ride and be one of the only fortute people to glide over the Serengeti plains with an excellent birds-eye view from the top (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). You’ll be flying silently above the bushes, across the rivers and small villages while spotting wildlife and enjoying the scenic view.
Upon landing, you’ll be served with hot breakfast and another game drive will follow into the Sogore River Circuit. It is located in the southern plains of the Seronera River which is an excellent spot for viewing lions, Thomson gazelles, ostriches, cheetahs, and topis. There’s a visitor center which is not far from the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and other public campsites. It is well worth a visit and you’ll be taken there after the game drive. This is a nice designed tourist center with shops selling information leaflets and maps of the area and other traditional souvenirs. Food and snack shops are also available. A picnic lunch can be arranged in here in the shade of one of the many giant acacia trees.
In the afternoon after lunch, we’ll follow the Kopjes circuit which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes. It attracts significant number of lion and some large cobras. These kopjes are weathered granite outcrops which can be found scatterred around the plains. Most of these are miniature ecosystems which have valuable water sources in the pools beneath the rock. After rain, the waters get deposited in the pool. This makes the kopjes the go-to spot for animals for drinking water, especially in the dry season when there’s a water scarcity. Dinner and overnight at one of the lodges opted by you during booking.
Day 4: Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at the lodge do we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. we’ll make a brief stopover at the Olduvai Gorge which is considered as the cradle of mankind. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the’Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. We’ll make it to the lodge in time for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon in here. Dinner and overnight will be arranged at the type of accommodation opted by you during the booking. The lodge will be in the crater rim as there is no accommodation available inside of the crater.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Because of the year-round water and fodder supply, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area accommdates a wide array of wild animals which includes the herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and African elephant. The huge population of predators is also another big draw of this picturesque area where you can spot lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, leopards and sometimes the African wild dog. A picnic lunch will be arranged at the crater floor. Dinner and overnight will be arranged at the type of accommodation opted by you during the booking. The lodge will be in the crater rim as there is no accommodation available inside of the crater.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park

- Distance: 155 km
Following the breakfast, we’ll depart for the Tarangire National Park. Tarangire River flows through this park which mainly comprises of low-lying hills of the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation is made up of Acacia woodland and giant African baobab trees. Huge swamp regions are in the southern part. Animals of the Tarangire National Park can be spotted around the river and the swamps in the dry months. The park is also renowned for accommodating the largest herds of elephants; highest in the northern circuit. This is also home to rare animal species like the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and Ashy Starlings. Dinner and overnight will be arranged inside the Tarangire National Park area as per the standard of accommodation you’d have opted during booking.
Day 7: Tarangire National Park – Arusha

- Distance: 120 km
We enjoy an early morning game drive in the Tarangire National Park, followed by breakfast at the lodge/camping . We will then transfer back to Moshi. Upon arrival in Moshi will we have lunch and then we will end our African safari adventure.
