Drive towards Arusha – Moshi road that brings you in 20 min to Tengeru, a lively village along the Moshi/Arusha road. You’ll find yourself in the middle of a beautiful green countryside. Amidst the beautiful countryside, your guide will take you to the coffee and banana plantations which are in aplenty in this region. Concluding that, you’ll have a relaxing walking tour around the Lake Duluti Forest Reserve. This reserve accommodates the variety of bird species. The walking tour will end in the village itself and you can try local refreshing drinks or Mayal chips (cahips in an omelet) in one of the local bars. If you wish to do so, don’t forget to try the delicious Tanzanian barbeque, Nyama Choma. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, weekly markets are organized where you can buy some straight-from-farm food items and everyday necessities.
